The Basics
Q. What is tNook?
A. tNook is an online community of collectors that facilitates trades. tNook allows people around the world to trade anything with anyone™.
topQ. How do I find items?
A. You can find items in one of two ways: browse for items using the browse menus, by choosing a tNook and then drilling down to specific items in which you have an interest; or by searching for specific items. You may find the search tips page to he helpful.
topQ. How do I trade items?
A. In order to trade items, you must find someone who is willing to trade with you. tNook helps facilitate trades by matching items in your collection with items that other people are looking for, and matching items that you want with items in other peoples' collections.
If you are looking to get something, begin by finding the item you are looking for, and then visit the deals page for that item to see if there are any available trades.
If you are looking to send something, begin by finding the item you want to send, and then visit the deals page for that item to find people who want that item.
tNook can also do the digging for you!
When you add items to your collection, tNook allows you to set a trade level. There are four trade levels:
- Personal Collection. An item with a trade level of 1 is not up for trade, and is not visible to other tNook members. They will not be able to trade you for it.
- For the Right Price. An item with a trade level of 2 is up for trade for the right price.
- Up For Trade. An item with a trade level of 3 is Up For Trade for the asking price.
- Traded. An item with a trade level of 4 has already been traded. Before the other person accepts that item into their collection, it will stay visible in your collection and you will not be able to remove or update it.
Similarly, when you add items to your want list, tNook allows you to set a want level. There are three want levels:
- Invisible. An item with a want level of 1 is under the radar, and will not be visible to other tNook members. No one will offer to trade this item to you.
- Visible. An item with a want level of 2 is visible to other tNook members.
- Need. An item with a want level of 3 is something you cannot live without. Don't worry, we understand.
Finally, you can visit the My Matches page, part of My tNook. This page will show you all the possible matches. You can view trade matches, want matches or both.
Matches are not confined to a particular tNook, so you could end up with a deal that contains items from several different tNooks.
After you have initiated a deal, you can then also rematch the deal to see if there are any new matches before finalizing the deal and trading your items.
If you have trouble finding items to trade, you can add non-tNook items to the trade (yes, we do indeed support trading kitchen sinks), or you can trade cash for an item.
topQ. There is no tNook for what I collect. What do I do?
A. During this initial beta phase, we are only concentrating on two tNooks: Comic Books and HeroClix. In the future, we plan to not only create tNooks for many other popular types of collections, but also offer tNook members the ability to create their own tNooks.

Q. Why should I sign up?
