The Story

We love to collect things. Everyone here at tNook collects something. It might be as small as a few coins or a thousands comic books. We love to watch movies and we enjoy playing video games. It is out of love for these items that we decided to build tNook.

tNook started out as a place to manage your collection of Comic Books, but after some research we found that there were many sites that did this really well, so we decided to think larger. We asked ourselves: What if we could track our collections? What if we could find items that we never knew existed? How do we find other people with the same passion for what we truly love to collect? How do we trade our 'extras' for other collector's extras? We quickly figured out that we were on to something big.

While tNook is not all these things yet, we have the framework for all of this to happen and more. We poured countless hours into the database engine that supports any tNook our community would want to build. We hired a web designer to make that database engine easy to use. After a few months of testing the result was the Alpha release of tNook. We released our alpha version of tNook in early 2005 and we had some amazing early adopters. These early adopters lent their ideas, suggestions and criticisms and helped make tNook what it is today and what it will be in the future.

The Future

tNook is a privately-funded, Alberta-based company currently owned and operated by YonerDotCom Inc. We are a small company with three employees and one person that we go to with our marketing questions. We have a few more features that we want to release to our Beta users before we start our marketing beta launch. We expect to see substantial growth after our marketing launch and we anticipate that we will have to look for outside investment to sustain our community. With a successful marketing launch we see ourselves focusing on three main areas.

Features

We want to keep tNook fresh and exciting. We have a huge list of features we want to see, remember we are users as well. We also want to hear about all the features you want. If they fit with tNook we will build them. We have already added a few features from our user community. We love receiving your suggestions - thank you and please keep them coming

Content

We will work with our community to help build and populate new and exciting tNooks. We will look at ways to work with third party developers to build interfaces that make tNook easier to use. If we can partner with information sources we will. Our main goal getting you access to the items you want so you can focus on trading and finding new friends is.

Community

We are nothing without our users. The more people you meet and want to trade with the more fun and rewarding tNook will be. This is the most important area of tNook. We will try to make this a safe trading community, but we know that there can be a few individuals who may ruin it for others. Please trade safe, leave feedback, build up a trusted list of buddies and share this list with other users. Post your want and trade list on other sites you visit. We have met a bunch of people through tNook who we now consider my friends. We hope you do as well.
